Stand Taller (Don’t Shrink Back Now)

Hey, hey readers!

Can we do a quick-quick recap of what we’ve been discussing for the past few weeks? We can? Great!

Well, the first post of this series, “You’re Still Standing,” we gave ourselves credit for making it through. For not giving up. For standing, even if it felt shaky or we didn’t want to stand at all.

We needed that moment and some of us may need a bit longer because some seasons require every ounce of strength just to keep our feet on the ground.

But today’s write-up? It’s for those of us starting to see a flicker of light.

Maybe one of your prayers has been answered.
Maybe the door isn’t wide open, but it’s cracked.
Maybe someone finally notices what you’re doing and is interested in your product/services

You prayed for growth. You planted seeds. You survived storms. And now — finally — you're seeing just a little something sprouting.

But here's the thing: that glimpse of progress isn’t your cue to relax or start doubting again.

It’s your signal to stand taller.

See, when you’ve been through a long, dry season, even the smallest hint of change can feel like enough. And if we’re not careful, we’ll let that “little bit of progress” convince us to pause, shrink back, or coast. But that’s not what this moment is for.

Because now, it’s no longer about just holding on — it’s about rising up. When growth appears, it calls for a response: not shrinking, not staying silent, and definitely not slacking.

Yes, there are seasons when simply standing is the win. But this read right here is about what comes next.

So if you’re starting to see that flicker of light right now…..

1. Check Your Posture

Not just physically — mentally and spiritually too. Are you walking like someone who’s been called to more? Even small progress can trigger imposter syndrome or fear of being “too much.” Don’t shrink. Reclaim your space.

Remind yourself: “I have been created for this. I won’t apologize for growing.”

2. Guard Against Relaxing Too Soon

When the pressure lifts, it is tempting to let our guard down. But momentum needs maintenance. Stay committed, even if it means showing up before you feel like it. Your feelings are real, but they’re not always facts.

Action Step: Set one weekly non-negotiable — a habit, check-in, or action — to stay aligned with the vision God gave you.

3. Let Growth Shift Your Strategy

New growth calls for new rhythms. What use to work in survival mode might not serve you now. Revisit your routine. Are you organizing your time, energy, and environment around the next version of you?

Ask God: “What does this next level require of me — mentally, spiritually, physically?”

Now don’t get it twisted, this isn't about hustling harder. It's about honoring the growth you've already been given.

Stand taller-not to prove anything to anyone but because it’s what growth requires.
