You’re still Standing
There are seasons when you do everything “right” and still feel like you’re losing.
You’ve prayed.
You’ve fasted.
You’ve been faithful.
You’ve encouraged others while silently hoping someone would pour back into you.
You’ve shown up—tired, stretched, and maybe even broken—but you kept going- while you yourself feel defeated.
I'm not just talking about a day or two of being in this space but, the kind of defeat that lingers. The kind that doesn’t go away with a nap, a quote, or a worship playlist. It’s the ache that says: “I’m doing all I know to do… and nothing is changing.”
Listen, even the strongest, most faith-filled people have these moments. Moments when you question, cry, sit in silence, or think about giving up.
But You’re Not Failing—You’re Fighting.
Ephesians 6:13 says: “Having done all… to stand. It doesn’t say to run, to fix, to pretend, to produce. It just says: stand.
You stand when you’d rather quit.
You stand when your heart feels heavy and your prayers feel hollow.
You stand when you don’t have a new word—just the last one God gave you.
If you’re in this space—here are three things you can do this week to fight back even when you’re barely standing.
1. Stop Faking
You don’t have to prove your strength to anyone. God isn’t asking for performance—He’s asking for presence.
Let yourself rest. Cry. Pause. You’re not lazy or weak—you’re human.
2. Set a “I’m Standing” Prayer
Pick one verse or phrase to stand on this week.
Write it down. Speak it daily. Let it anchor you when your feelings try to drift.
Feel free to use any of these:
“Lord, I feel empty—but I trust You’re still working.”
“This hurts, but I’m not hopeless.”
“I may be weary, but I am still yours.”
3. Share with Someone
You don’t have to fight this alone. Text or call a trusted friend. Ask for prayer. Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is let yourself be seen in the middle of the battle.
You may feel defeated right now, but you’re not done. Your strength isn’t proven by how quickly you bounce back—it’s proven in your willingness to stand, even when standing feels like all you’ve got.
And just remember, God is not finished yet.
See you later this week on the vlog where we’ll go a bit deeper!
Much Love,
Natalie
